From Shijie Zhichuang Metro Station by Exit A (1), take a look inside Yitian Holiday Plaza (2). Leave Shennan and walk past the Venetian-themed Crowne Plaza Hotel (3) and the elaborately planted entry plaza of Happy Valley (4), to reach the aptly-named Ecology Square (5). This large tranquil area has open-air dining establishments, and often hosts groups practicing dance or doing tai chi.
Just across from the Square, enter the C-Mall (6), and ramble southward. Exiting the mall, walk toward Huaqiaocheng Metro Station until you reach the excellent Huaxia Arts Center (7).
Walk east on Shennan on the wide, tree-lined path, noting the entrance to The LOFT area (8), a nice place for a coffee and some art viewing.

Walking west on Shennan, pass the Intercontinental Hotel (and its huge Galleon) (10), the OCT Art & Design Gallery with its honey-combed exterior (11), and the sleekly modern He Xiangning Art Museum (12). Watch now for life-size bronze statues of people in various natural poses (13) as you return to Windows of the World. Just west of the entrance, relax and have a cool drink in the kitschy European Street (14).
You can board the Metro several places along your route; the entire stroll should take about 3 hours.
